Hair loss with palbociclib & Letrozole

Hi, diagnosed in 2021 with bone mets - lesions found by chance as I had MRI for bulging disc. No pain from mets. On Palbo & Letrozole & in the last 3 years have lost virtually all my hair. Had a topper, now on a full wig. Are there people out on Palbo for years & this doesn’t happen? Thanks

  • well, I have been on letrozole and ribociclib and now palbociclib for 2 years and my hair has thinned a lot and is finer and more curly now than before. However I was always lucky to have thick wavy hair so perhaps that’s helped me out.

    I’m sorry to hear this though, have you thought about using hair strengthening shampoos such as Nioxin that may help you? Also some other illnesses can reduce hair thickness so get your thyroid checked out as well
