Hi after beating cancer 3 times, this one has got the better of me. I find the side effects of the meds bad I want to take a year off any meds. Do lovely things with my husband and family. Then try the meds again I see my oncologist in a weeks time My husband agrees with me as he sees what I’m going through It’s hard though
Hi Whinnie and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
Having just come to the end of chemotherapy for breast cancer myself, I can understand why you'd want to take a year off medication.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Wishing you all the best with whatever you decide to do
