I'm unsure if I should post here on in the bladder cancer forum.
My wife's secondary breast cancer metasasized to the liningof her bladder last year. A nephrostomy for her left kidney was inserted last September. Chemotherapy finished in January, with scans back in December showing improvements.
A replacement nephrostomy given in December and now today she went in to have another replacement. The radiologist tested if the nephrostomy could be removed by inserting some dye. It wasn't a success so another replacement.
My wife Nikki really wants it removed as she is unable to shower properly. We're wondering if a nephrostomy is permanent or not? What can she do to help.
