Hi All,

Hope youre doing ok. I just wondered if anyone had been in the above treatment and how they found it. Im going on it in 5 weeks time but have heard its not very well tolerated but gives good results. Any advice would be welcome please x

  • Assuming this is sacituzumab govetican for secondary TNBC, I haven’t been on it but thought I would add that it’s brand name is Trodelvy, as I have seen others post about Trodelvy.  It will be my next line of treatment if/when my current remaining remission fails to hold (I have metastatic TNBC). From what I have seen, people can get gastric issues, but that’s true of a lot of treatments. Hoping you get a good outcome from it.

  • Thank you for your reply and hope that you dont need to change treatments for a good while yet.

  • Hello! Yes I’ve just started as well. I’m on my first round and feeling very tired, sore throat. There’s as lot of other bits to the initial infusion (4 hours). I didn’t realise that I also needed to self inject and take steroids for three days after infusions. Good luck.

  • Thank you for your reply. Hopefully ad your body gets used to it your side effects will get better. Good luck.

  • Hi

i started this treatment the middle of December after three years on Capecitabine which stopped working. I don’t feel too bad after the first infusion, although the steroids do keep me awake, I am able to carry on as usual. It is the second infusion the following week and the injections which make me feel exhausted. I do get more indigestion now than I’m used to but when I think back I got a lot of indigestion when I started on the Capecitabine but that gradually went so am hoping it will be the same now. I have to say that in the three week cycle I have a lot more good days than bad which for me is important.

i do have a sore mouth so if anyone could recommend a gentle toothpaste I would be grateful.

Good luck with your treatment, I hope you get more good days than bad.

  • Thank you for your reply.  More good dsys than bad sounds good to me. Wishing you lots of luck .

  • Hi Lolly, just checking how you’re getting on with your treatment. I just had my first infusion without the 3 injections afterwards. Feel terrible. Not sure if you’ve had the same.

  • Hi Peaberrie,

So sorry to hear youre feeling awful. Could it be because its the first one and your body needs to get used to it? What are the 3 injections after and why didnt you have them?

I haven't started Sac yet as after a few discussions with my oncologist we decided to wait a little longer. I think ,next time though, she's going to say I need it.

I hope things start to get better for you x
