I have secondary metastatic breast cancer in my spine and sacrum, recently it was also found in my femur. Oncologist and orthopedic surgeon are unclear if this is new or has always been there
The orthopedic surgeon recommended i start zolendronic acid treatment, this was mentioned by my oncologist right at the beginning but with other treatments it never happened. When I had telephone appointment this week I asked about it but was told that as I have dunosumab injection I don't need it. I just wonder why the surgeon recommended it in his letter, we discussed the current treatment plan so he was aware of what medication I'm on.
Does anyone else have both or just one of these treatments?
Many thanks for reading xx
