I finished my course of placltaxel weekly three weeks ago after 15 sessions and I am feeling very weak, lethargic, and have no energy. Is this normal or has anyone else felt like this? My tiredness and energy loss were getting quite bad towards the end of treatment. My lung and liver tumours had shrunk according to my last scan in July, and I am pretty sure that the bone mets have shrunk too as the lump in my sternum seems to have gone down, and the skin connection there has disappeared so I ought to be grateful, but I can't help thinking things are on the move again as I have a cough similar to the one before treatment. Before the taxol I had four months of Fulvestrant and Ibrance which didn't work, so I think further chemo is out of the question, at least for the time being.
I had to stop paclitaxel after nine sessions as I was so exhausted that I couldn’t get out of bed. It will take a bit of time to recover, but your onc should be talking to you about next steps. There are new drugs available now too.
Hope you start to feel more normal soon!
