Hi i was wondering if anyone has asked about a double mastectomy and lymp node removal?? ive been on Taxol for 31 weeks. all going well tumors shrinking and lung and liver tumors now gone.. taxol stopped as was effecting toes .. roll on 4 weeks big growth in breast tumor and lymp underarm..PET scan today results next week...not got a good feeling wondered if anyone had any advice?? thankyou

Sorry you're going through the horrible scanxiety.

If you've had a complete response and the mets have disappeared for now, I don't think it would be unreasonable to have a chat with your onc/surgeon about benefits and risks. Sadly though, once cancer is "out of the bag" it generally keeps popping back up its ugly head.
