I had a biopsy to check breast cancer hadn’t spread to my lymph nodes before having a mastectomy and reconstruction. I was given the results yesterday that the lab were unable to find any lymph node material in the sample taken. The surgeon was surprised as she said what she removed the node it was bright blue (from injection) as expected. They have decided to go ahead with the reconstruction and will take the lymph node when they do the operation for checking afterwards. Anyone else come across this?
