My partner has her mastectomy with implant yesterday, she was in st 1pm by 8 pm she was on her way home, crazy times, how they send you home after such a big operation. Anyway, even though she was completely exhausted, we both got no sleep due to the constant buzzing and vibrations of the Pico dressing machine, I’ve check all around and it’s sealed tight, no kinks in tne tubes, it’s showing a green light, so it’s working ok. It stopped for a while, then started again, it’s driving us crazy. What happened to old fashioned dressing..
Hi if she accidentally presses the orange button then it buzzes and vibrates. Aslong as the green ok light is on it is fine.
I came out of theatre after 4pm and was on my way home at 8pm. It is scary as I wasn’t given much advice on aftercare or an appointment to change the bandages.
All the best
It’s just buzzing all night on and off. We’re going to ring the nursing team later.
They really do help with healing so it’s much better for her than an old fashioned dressing. My daughter in law had one on her caesarean scar and got a fabulous outcome. Try to bear with it. It’s not for long.
