Had my lumpectomy and lymph node removal on Wednesday was taken first which was good I had to stay in overnight due to my complex medical issues but it was fine I had my own room I’m doing my exercises which is uncomfortable but I’m doing them I’m a bilateral above knee amputee so need to use my arms for transferring shirts a bit but pushing through. I see consultant on 3rd November for results and next steps. I’m exhausted all the time my trying to keep hydrated and have little cat naps

Hi I had my lumpectomy and two lymph nodes removed on Tuesday. I’m sore and bruised but getting better each day. My shoulder is tight and my arm pit sore. Unfortunately I didn’t see my consultant prior to post surgery and wasn’t given any aftercare or exercises to do. I thought I was being cut under my boob but it looks like he has cut around my nipple. Is this normal? I am googling everything and feel totally on my own tbh. Is there anything I should know re What type of exercises I should be doing 4 days post op?.i have an appointment next Tuesday to get my dressings changed but no appointment yet for my results any advice is very gladly received. Thank you.
Here is breast cancer now’s fact sheet on post surgery exercises. I hope it helps.

Hi Jet
i am so sorry to hear you had no aftercare. Please call your breast care nurse for advice. I was cut under the breast around the nipple and down from the nipple to the bottom of the breast anchor shape. Im 12 days since i had my op and still have bandages under my armpit where my lymph nodes were removed.
Hope this hells x
