Found a strange feeling lump right next to my nipple so Gp referred me to clinic. Went last Thursday and they did a mammogram then ultrasound.
During ultrasound they said what I had felt was normal but they spotted another area of concern. They didn’t say it was a lump. They also said 4 lymph nodes were swollen in my armpit. Took biopsies there and then of breast and lymph node. Added markers too.
Then had another mammogram and they then said I needed to return to clinic this Tuesday for a stereostatic core biopsy. They said they didn’t know what it is but I can’t help thinking with the speed it’s moved and all the tests being done it must be cancer.
They added more markers on Tuesday and took about 8 more biopsies. I’m now waiting for results and as everyone says it’s horrible waiting! Just wanted to know if anyone had similar. I’m just so shocked that they found something completely different to what I had originally gone in for!
Hi Clareet
I had pain in my right arm plus pain in the right breast but no lumps no skin puckering nothing. I have history in my family so was on top of annual mammograms. They found cancer in my left breast in two areas.
I was diagnosed on the 10th and had my operation on the 28th.
Yes I agree the waiting is the worst. Fingers crossed you don’t have this diagnosis i had. God forbid you do just remember you are in safe hands.
I am positive person and people keep saying to me how do you keep so positive with such a diagnosis. I just say if I cry about it or laugh about it would it change anything? So what is the point stressing over something you cannot do anything about.
Leave it in God’s hands and you will be just fine ️
I actually went due to a lump in my right armpit which turned out to be something called PASH and nothing to worry about. When I was examined they found something in my left breast I had no clue about which turned out to be cancer. I know it’s all worrying, but the way I see it is, although it was a shock as not what I originally went for, I am grateful it was found and so could be treated. x
