Does having lymphovascular invasion in post surgery pathology report automatically mean chemotherapy?
Hi Bindu
I think it’s one factor in many that they will consider - the receptor status, the grade, the size, whether your lymph nodes are involved. If it’s hormone positive they may also look at the oncotype score. Wishing you all the best.

I am a Macmillan volunteer.
I have metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer, in remission
Hi!
When my report came back after surgery, the sentinel node was positive, although no extra capsular spread. This prompted an oncotype test which came back as 6, so no chemo needed. As a result though I had radiotherapy across the whole breast, lymph nodes and clavicle. Im also on ribociclib and zelodronic acid infusions for 3 years, presumably because of the node involvement.
I was er pr positive her2-
Also taking letrozole for 10 years.
I hope this helps.
