Biopsy back. Stage 1 grade 3 Triple negative breast cancer. Treatment is breast conserving surgery, chemo and radiotherapy. A blood test for genetics is also being done. Everything seems to be moving quickly already have preop appointment and scan to place 'scout' I think.
I was so worried about telling my kids. They have took it in their stride and they definitely have inherited my dark humour. They have called it my malevolent booby.
Hi KatKittens
Dark humour is a great way of dealing with this. I am glad your children have taken it in their stride. There may be tougher times when they see you going through chemo, but just try to take it one day at a time. I am a tnbc survivor despite mine being stage 4 as well as grade 3, so don’t panic at the negative stuff you might find on the internet. Lots of data is out of date as it doesn’t reflect people who have been through newer treatment protocols. Wishing you all the best.
