Can’t decide

I have not had my proper diagnosis yet, due Friday, but I've asked myself the same question. Reading the stories of the ladies being called back because the margins aren't clean really makes me consider a masectomy.

I am sorry you are facing this decision Mindblown   If they have offered you both options it will be because they think they will be similarly effective for you. I had a lumpectomy plus radiotherapy and was pleased with the outcome. It’s an easy operation to recover from, and getting my life back was important to me. Mastectomy wasn't suggested to me, and thankfully they got clear margins on the first surgery. Sometimes people do have to go back for re-excision.
