Hi everyone, I’m waiting for my pathology results and feeling really anxious. ️
I was referred for a breast lump in my right breast, upper outer area. On examination it was around 2 cm and clinically felt like a cyst.
My mammogram showed a 20 × 11 mm lump, and ultrasound measured it at 16 × 20 mm. The ultrasound described it as a solid lump, so they took tissue samples (biopsies) and inserted a clip marker.
The ultrasound of my right armpit also showed an enlarged lymph node, which they biopsied as well.
I’ve been told I’ll be seen again in the results clinic once the pathology reports are back.
I’m trying to stay calm, but I have anxiety/OCD and the waiting is really difficult, especially at night. I know nobody can diagnose me from this, but I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a solid breast lump + enlarged lymph node that turned out to be benign, such as a fibroadenoma and reactive lymph node.
Thank you ️
