After 3 X rounds of EC I am now battling through 9 x rounds of Paclitaxel. Trouble I have is because of the antihistamine and steroids before the nurses put in the main drug there are the steroids etc.
As a result my sleep on a night is limited to perhaps 1 or 2 hours and I end up absolutely shattered by day 3 post chemo
I have it weekly! I end up like a walking zombie with absolutely no energy to do any jobs at all.
By day 6 when I go to hospital for pre chemo blood tests I perk up but the next day the roundabout starts again.
I have 4 more weeks I think left. Lord only knows how I will feel by the end of it!
Also, as a result of the steroids and chemo and fatigue / tiredness I have piled weight on - I can't wait to be able to crack on and do things again but unfortunately after break when chemo is finished, I have a long gruelling regime if radiotherapy to face (I have aggressive grade 3Lobular Cancer and a simple DCIS in the same breast and lymph nodes plus I was in remission from DCIS in my other breathing so my consultant has thrown everything possible at this aggressive thing/!
