Hi I’m 46 and went to my appointment with the breast clinic Wednesday and at first said it was a cyst and I would have it drained but will still need to have a mammogram and an ultrasound and the next minute I was have two biopsies taken as there was an enlarged lymph node and the lump looked suspicious definitely not a cyst so everything was suddenly happening so quickly! I’m ok just sore and dread the next appointment. I haven’t got the date of it yet as she didn’t have any available so They said they will be in touch . I’m so anxious and hoping for good news as I really don’t know how my boys will cope as my middle one has extreme health anxiety , I’m have a 15 month old grandson and another due Feb . Any advice ?
Hi Webby81
I am sorry you have a suspicion of breast cancer and are awaiting results from your biopsies. The waiting is the hardest part of this, trying to stop your mind spiralling. If it is breast cancer, then now that most people are treated successfully and go on to live full lives. When you know what you are facing it will become easier.
