Update following CT scan!

A few of you may remember the other week me frantically posting as a 33 year old diagnosed with breast cancer so thought I’d give an update.

yesterday I met with my consultant and the CT scan confirmed it has not spread beyond lymph nodes, I have been officially diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma with is ER and PR positive, just awaiting the results of HER2 to decide whether I have surgery first or chemo (can’t remember if it’s positive I have chemo first or which way round)

a long road ahead in terms of recovery but my consultant is positive and says I’ll make a full recovery!

  • Hi

I am delighted to hear you have no further spread. In my understanding if it’s also HER2 positive, you will have chemo with targeted treatment first. If it’s only ER and PR positive, it might be surgery first. Either way, it will be good to get started.
