Exemestane

I am currently taking Exemestane.

I have taken it for 8 months and two months ago my GP gave me steroid injections into my finger and thumb due to trigger finger type problems.  I asked could this be caused by the Exemestane and her reply was “Sometimes these things just happen”, so I felt that maybe I was just unlucky.

Last week I developed a pain in my big toe, similar to what I experienced with my thumb, it progressed quickly to not being able to curl or raise my toe and the pain at the ball of my foot (underneath my toe) and the joint above it is very painful to put weight on and walk on.  I have no pain on the top of my foot and there is no sign of inflammation.

Am I just unlucky again and need to arrange another steroid injection or should I consider asking the breast care clinic to allow me to take a break from the Exemestane first to rule it out as the cause ?

Has anyone else had tendon issues and found them to be caused by Exemestane ?
