I am pleased you have your results and that it’s just a case of a wide excision and radiotherapy. Do you perhaps mean grade 2 rather than stage 2? I don’t think they would delay surgery until September if they thought it was more urgent than that. Wishing you all the best.

I’m sorry you’ve had a diagnosis confirming breast cancer. It’s natural when you are diagnosed to want to get things moving as soon as possible. Due to tests and other things I had seven weeks from diagnosis to surgery and I was worried about the time it was all taking. I was reassured that those weeks were unlikely to make any difference and I am also certain that if they had thought things were more serious then it would have been quicker. Please trust that your team would not do anything which would cause more harm. x 

It does feel like things are going slowly when you are going through tests and waiting for the next appointment I was diagnosed 7 weeks ago and only just seeing my consultant on friday to discuss next steps its felt like months

It’s rotten isn’t it. I feel weirdly relieved now I have biopsy but so want to crack on and get it out ! Thank you for replying I hope you are doing well 

It probably isn't that long, because we are nearly in August.  But, obviously, waiting and wondering is not fun.  I got my diagnosis on 14 April this year, my first operation on 13 May and my 2nd operation on 9 June.  Many people do not need a second operation.  

They didn't know about my lymph nodes either.   Resulting in radioactive tracer, dye and blue-green urine for a couple of days.   But the biopsy (at the same time as the first breast operation) came back clear.  Yay!

For some reason, they still haven't got round to telling me what my cancer was responsive to.  But it was in my notes that it was responsive to oestrogen and progesterone, but not to HER2.  

My cousin's breast cancer had reached her lymph nodes, but they decided against chemo.  She was diagnosed 3 years ago.  She's out there, living her best life, with reconstructed breasts.
