Hi I was told I have breast cancer 7th July now have appointment on Tuesday I’m wondering what questions I should ask as wasn’t expecting to be told at last appointment that I had cancer so thought writing down questions might be helpful but not sure where to start
These were the questions I had when I was first diagnosed.
What type of breast cancer do I have?
What stage and grade is my cancer?
Is my cancer HER2-positive, ER-positive, or PR-positive?
Has the cancer spread to my lymph nodes or anywhere else?
What tests or scans do I still need?
What treatment do you recommend, and why?
What is the goal of my treatment – to cure the cancer or to control it?
Will I need chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, or hormone therapy?
How long will my treatment take?
What side effects should I expect, and how can they be managed?
How often will I need scans and follow-up appointments?
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
