Just been diagnosed with Metaplastic stage 3 breast cancer with 2 lymph nodes affected. They are Her2 positive and Her2 negative. Plan is chemo then surgery then radiation. Cancer hasn’t spread anywhere else. Has anyone got any experience of this?
Hi Pink11
I am sorry you have been diagnosed with metaplastic breast cancer. I don’t have metaplastic cancer but I do have metastatic TNBC, am one of our community champions, and would like to welcome you to our site. As I am sure you are aware, metaplastic breast cancer is not common. I think I have seen people posting about it. You might want to do a search of the site for posts referencing it so you can connect with them. Ultimately the treatments are likely to be the same as they would be for someone with a mix of HER2 and triple negative IDC. Treatments are obviously not pleasant but are tolerable for most people. Wishing you all the best.
