I am one of the Community Champions for the breast cancer forums. I have not had a mastectomy or reconstruction so don’t have any direct experience to offer. However I noticed your post hadn’t received any responses so by responding I have bounced it back up to the top of the page where someone may see it and respond.

i I am waiting for the same surgery. My breast care nurse gave me a couple of bras to try so I would ask your team? She gave me one my current size and one next size up. No idea if these will fit after surgery though - I have bought a couple of soft bras but like you not sure if I these will fit?

I brought the macom bra which has been great, its longer so it doesn't sit on your scar after a mastectomy which has been brilliant. I brought two and went a back size up. 

That's really helpful thank you. I will go and have a look and take your advice around sizing. Great advice also around not sitting on scar. 

Yes so i am a 32 and i brought a 34. Good luck i had my mastectomy 3 weeks ago and i feel back to normal if that helps at all!! xxx

I got measured for a post surgery bra in M&S but found them really expensive. I bought some lovely ones that were new from Vinted and at a really good price too! I know it’s not everyone’s thing but I’m really chuffed with them. X
