Too many surgery options

  1. So a second lump was found at my mri and now my surgery options have changed. I can have the lumps removed (both in the same breast) and have a noticeably smaller breast, reduce the "good" side to match or have a mastectomy with reconstruction. Has anyone had these options but been able to request surgery where they didn't need a masectomy, recon from your own body and size is pretty much as they are now and not been left with a saggy "good" side? I have a flatish low D cup but im also tall and medium build so the d cup already looks quite small on my frame. Obviously I totally get the main thing is to get rid of the cancer but I dont want to hate how I look afterwards either SobSob
  • Hi there, I'm one of the champions here in this group and I just wanted to acknowledge your post.  It's such a difficult decision to make.   I wondered if you'd thought about giving the lovely folks at the Macmillan helpline a call as I’m sure they'd be able to help you think through the pros and cons of the options. You can call them on 0800 808 0000 from 8am to 8pm daily.  Best wishes
