Abemaciclib treatment.

Hi i am currently taking Abemaciclib, luckily without any serious side effects. The hospital are expecting me to travel every fortnight just to collects the meds. Is this normal practice? I am not even getting checked over whilst there, no blood pressure taken, nothing. It seems wrong that i am expected to get in my car and drive 80mins round trip just to collect them. I don't understand why mine are fortnightly collections and others are 28 days...Having breast cancer is stressful enough without extra journeys which are not needed. Has anybody else had the same experience? Thank You!

Hello sorry you are having extra stress it's bad enough having to take these meds .

I'm on abemaciclib and have blood test every two months now followed by a telephone consultation to go over the bloods and to see if I'm ok .z they then strange for my next suppl which is now , monthly to be delivered by the pharmacy from the hospital.

Before I went to ,,,2 monthly it was monthly the same bloods phone call and if all ok meds delivered can you not ask for them to be delivered.?

I haven't had my blood pressure checked once .

Only when I had chemo and the ,6 monthly infusionI hope you manage to get it sorted x
