Hi. I have had 2 sessions of chemo for breast cancer. I am using the cold cap. I can cope with the cold, but the tightness is too much! I have had dents all around my head once it’s off both times. Had anyone else had this? I know it has to be tight to be effective, but is leaving dents too tight???
Hi Daisy
I used the cooling cap in 2022 and I also had dents in my head when it was taken off. It has to be tight to work. I found it worth it in the end though. You can put a soft hairband next to your skin if it helps.
Good Luck with the rest of your treatment.

I have heard of people using a thin sanitary pad as well but I found a headband helped a bit. The first few minutes were the worst each time but I did have pressure headaches afterwards. The link above has more advice. It was my experience.
