Hi,
The timeline so far is:
I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and waiting for my formal diagnosis and staging later this week.
Having not had a great experience at Pinderfields hospital with the birth of my first child, I self referred to Calderdale for the my second and am currently with them for my second/current maternity care.
Currently all of my gp/cancer care has been done in Pinderfields. The service so far in terms of cancer care has been really quick and supportive and I have no complaints, but I am still worried about my previous maternity experience.
This leaves me in a place where I may need swap my cancer and maternity care to either hospital to make sure that the multi disciplinary has everything covered (although I may be able to keep this separate, will have to wait and see). I just want to make sure my baby is safe and has a mummy who has the best chance to be around as long as possible.
I am just looking for some opinions on the cancer care provided in either Calderdale or Pinderfields hospital? What experiences have you had with either?
Thank you for any comments you may have
