Tumour changes during chemo

Hi all, I wondered if anyone had any experience of this and can share what happened. I was diagnosed with IDC stage 2b ER positive (weakly, but still positive) HER2- in December. 30x20mm lump with two lymph nodes involved, grade 3.

Due to the weakly positive ER status and grade 3, I've had neoadjuvant chemo - 3 round of EC and 3 rounds of Docetaxel - I've just had my first round of Docetaxel. After my second round of EC I had a progress scan which showed a good response to chemo - tumour was a similar length at 28mm, but had flattened to 7mm in depth from 20mm. This scan was on Feb 3rd.

After my 3rd round of EC though I have found that the tumour is much easier to feel than it was after my first two rounds of EC. It feels hard and more defined, almost back to being dome like rather than flat. I am really not sure if it feels like it has grown again, as it's so difficult to tell, but it definitely easier to feel. After my second round of EC it was quite hard to find, I had to be lying down to be able to feel it. Now it's gone back to being easily found just from putting my fingers around it.

has anyone else had this? My BCN doesn't seem to think this is much to worry about currently, but I am really worried. If it isn't progression could it be scar tissue, inflammation or something else? Has anyone else experienced growth in this timeframe after a scan that showed response?

My current treatment plan is for no more scans as I showed good progression on the last one. Appointment on the 9th April with the breast surgeon with surgery towards the end of May, then radiotherapy after that. I have two more rounds of Docetaxel left.
