Hi
I had lumpectomy and 5 days radiotherpay all lymph nodes clear and now 5yrs of Letrozole- I saw someone mention in a post that your consultant can do some sort of calcualtion to work out the percentage chance of recoccurence -can anyone help and tell me qhatbthis is called so I can ask at my next appointment please ?
Hello and congratulations on finishing up your treatments. The letrozole is hard to do so glad you did it.
I live in Florida and the breast cancer index test is used as it can determine if an extra 5 years of hormone blockers would be a benefit or not. It is available in England too but will need to discuss with oncologist.
All of us live with the thought of a reoccurring breast cancer but all we can do is take the best care of ourselves and live on. Take care.
Barbara
Have you looked at the Predict website? Not sure if it covers that. It might help with’questions to ask,’ anyway.
Thanks Barbara -yes the Letrozole side effects are not great but I am hanging in there . i think thats the answer Im looking for the index test
