Surgical stockings

Advised to keep on for 2 weeks. Can be removed for washing but otherwise need to stay on day and night

Thank you for replying. My macmillan nurse called me to check on me a little while ago and said I can take them off when I’m down stairs and walking about and for washing but to put them on as you say for night. I was worried as I lost my mum to aneurism.
I had my op that removed invasive ductal lump and lymph nodes yesterday and have a uti at the same time as a result of a hysteroscopy last Thursday so couldn't think straight what the nurse said

Yep, I was more excited about removing those than the dressing!

 not the most flattering are they and annoying to get on and off to say the least.  I’m only two days in but cannot wait to get past the awful sleeping position and back ache. Going to try and get dressed today and my first small walk today  x 

the only good thing when i had mine on were they kept my legs warm but hated sleeping in them 

I didn't mind them during the day to be honest and they were a lovely shade of green, but hated sleeping in them with a passion! I was the same with the sleeping position. I've just been able to start side sleeping again at nearly two months post surgery and it was a gradual process to get there.
