I got diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer 2 months ago but needed a mri has they were something they wasn’t sure of it’s been 6 weeks now and had no results from mri no treatment or surgery my mind is in over drive and is causing friction in my family has it’s always on my mind and I’m always unhappy
You need to follow this up. Do you have a breast care nurse? If so, start there. If not have you been allocated a surgeon? If so, call her office and speak to her/his PA. In any event it is time to get in touch with them not wait for them to contact you. Things can fall between the cracks! It happened to me several times during the course of my treatment. It's fine for you to ask questions of your team.
Kaf56 thank you for your reply I have contacted them just before new years and they told me they are behind because of all the referrals they have coming in
Time to call them again then. Ask whether your case will be discussed at the next MDT meeting, and which day it is if you don't already know. Then call them again the day after the MDT meeting for an update. Honestly, I have every admiration for the NHS and what they do for us, but "the squeaky wheel gets the oil".
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
