Hey everyone - I hope you have had a nice Christmas and treatments are going well. x
I was just wondered how everyone else nails have faired that have had EC and Docetaxel Chemo. I have had 3 x EC and 2 x Docetaxel - 3rd and last one is in 2 days. All 3 weeks apart. My fingers nails were fine on EC and I have been using Polybalm daily. Since switching to Docetaxel I have noticed they are very sore and red underneath - they don't have ridges and haven't lifted......what are my chances of keeping them after my 3rd dose?
I am not overly bothered about my nails but don't want to be in pain if they detach - I expect it to be painful.
Thanks in advance.
I finished my Docetaxel and Cyclophosphomide (no Epirubicin) in Sept. My fingernails are ridged but did not lift. New fresh nail is coming through fine now. The ridged section is very dry but I don't think I will lose the nails. I'm hoping not anyway. Good luck with yours. xx
