I’ve had 14 out of 18 of my Herceptin injections, my echocardiograms is showing a decline of my heart function, has anyone experienced this and did they pause the injections or stop them completely?
Hi, I had my 18th injection in November. Up until then, whilst my EF had decreased it was still above 55, and I think anything above that is considered normal. I have not had any results from my last one and I am sure they would have contacted me if there was a problem. When I had an echocardiogram in November the radiologist (I think that’s what they are, but basic the person who did the procedure), said to me that in his experience if you were going to have problems they usually happen early on in treatment. Have you been given your results .
Okay. I think they can give you some medication for the remainder of your treatment. At least it’s been picked up and there will be something done about it. All the best .
