Hi I have just finished week 1 of month 3 Ribociclib. I got a couple of itchy bumps on Friday but now have a really itchy red rash, like a heat rash now spreading over my face, back, stomach and arms. I have called the emergency chemo line 21 times today starting at 8am and get a message that they're busy and to call back, there's no answer machine. I messaged my GP this afternoon to ask for a stronger antihistamine than Loratidine but they said no. Today I have taken Piriton, Loratidine, Fexofenadine to no avail, the only thing that has helped is Antihisan but it wears off after an hour. I have looked on the oncologist's letter but there are no contact details. Should I skip this dose until someone answers the phone, I am due to take a dose at 7pm and am not sure whether to or not? Has anyone had this rash and been able to get any advice? I don't think it's the serious one.
Hi, have you tried speaking to one of the nurses here. You can call the chatline on 0800 808 0000 from 8am to 8pm daily. Hope you get some medical expertise to support you soon. Best wishes
Thank you very much for replying - I eventually got through to the emergency line at 8.30pm and they told me not to take any more and I got a number from the switchboard for the oncologist's secretary this morning.
Hi LM70 I am on Ribociclib 600mg. After the second cycle I also started with a rash. No creams or anything helped at all. My oncologist says it is from the Ribociclib and has now put me on 400mg. This has now cleared up my rash thank goodness. Hopefully you get some relief soon too.
