Hi hope all u beautiful ladies are ok.as anybody had to have physio on there shoulder due to the mastectomy it's a year since I had it done been getting shoulder pain .I had dcis .any advice would be grateful also anxiety is through the roof a year later .

    1. Sorry you have had to wait so long for physio.   Did you get any straight after your mastectomy ? I got on line sessions and it was good. (It was COVID so face to face not possible) My advice is get as many face to face sessions as you can, to make sure you are doing exercises correctly and to monitor progress. Make sure you do exercises daily. Also ask about rehab gym or aqua therapy.. I found aqua therapy helped a lot with increased osteoarthritis pain caused by aromatase inhibitors . Good luck it takes a while but you will get there c
  • Thank-you for answering. Hope u ok .I did get it about 4mths after my mastectomy but really struggling with my shoulder I did go to the water physio but unfortunately I had to work too so couldn't go all the time.i just thought a year on I would be ok but he did tell me today it can take its time xxx

  • I didn’t have a mastectomy, but did start having issues with my shoulder a few months after lumpectomy and four lymph nodes removed. I was seem by a physio who gave me specific exercises including ones where you stretch/lean into the corner of a room. I was give an app which had videos demonstrating the exercises and you could check off when you’d done them each day. It sorted things pretty quickly so if I were you I would insist on a face to face physio appointment. I explained my issue was cancer surgery related and got the appointment within a week or so. Hope things ease for you soon. x
