  • Hi all, do I recently joined here after being diagnosed with invasive grade 3 breast cancer. Had follow up  2 week up appointment with the consultant yesterday . So the surgery i had a masectomy and they had to take 6 lymph nodes and the mass was very big measuring about 17inch. They took took all the cancer away as the cancer had not spread to other organs but the plan is to have 6 months chemotherapy following with radiotherapy and some other medications to follow because of the size of mass and the number of lymph nodes removed. This plan of treatment is to ensure that any cancer cells don't regrow snd hopefully b in remission but daunting and nerve racking time ahead.  Trying to get used to my body and scars. Scars will fade in time but dealing with small bits at a time.
  • Hi Carnationbfb29a

I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum.  I'm sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with breast cancer and that you need chemo.  While I won't say chemo is easy it is doable and there are plenty of medications to help you get through any side effects you may have.

Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment and hopefully you won't get too many side effects.

    Best wishes
