Am i expecting my chemo brain ( sometimes get confused or forgetful ) affect me after treatments and does radiotherapy have any side effects i should be aware of and how many sessions should i be expecting.my plan is to look for work
Hi, I didn't have any side effects from radiotherapy (except some late effects of lymphoedema) but some people do report tiredness from this treatment. The number of sessions can vary, I had 15, so every weekday for 3 weeks. Worth bearing in mind if you're looking for work is that radiotherapy is a bit disruptive as you have to go every day, though the treatment itself is short. Hope this helps, best wishes
Irishgirl16 Did your Lymphodema resolve after you finished radiotherapy? Did you have any problems with Lymphodema prior to radiotherapy? Just had a lumpectomy and node clearance and expecting radiotherapy before Christmas.Just really hoping I don’t develop Lymphodema.
Hi, I had no lymphoedema before radiotherapy and it's developed in my breast area since. I use cream and massage (though I know I could do this more regularly) and it's no better but no worse either. It doesn’t impact my daily life. Just a little tender and slightly swollen. Best wishes
