Hi, just after a little insight into other peoples experiences please. I’ve got stage 2 ER/PR + but had 4 out of 9 lymph nodes confirmed as having cancer so had a CT scan post surgery and they identified “something” (literally all oncologist said) in my pelvis. Now been referred for a bone scan. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what their outcomes were?
They will be playing safe and checking to see whether there is anything sinister in your pelvis.
8 out of 11 lymph nodes for me. I had various scans even before this was confirmed. They repeated liver and spine. Liver was cleared after second MRI.
The comment re the last MRI of my spine was that there is nothing definite to indicate cancer with a recommendation to repeat the scan in 6 months.
I also had a bone scan and the feedback was that the results are reassuring.
CT scans often reveal abnormal areas but it isn't always clear what that abnormality is so additional investigations are done.
Its scary and stressful but also important to have the full picture in order for you to get the best possible care plan.
Sending hugs xxx
