I'm due to start chemo on 22nd October. I had an MRI on Friday and they called today to say it showed something and they need to do another mammogram, a different kind, on 21st October.

Now I am dreading the worst, i.e has it spread? They said it was stage 1 and I felt like I was in a good position but now I'm scared that a few weeks have passed and it is no longer looking as good

Hi Trooper. I just wanted to offer some reassurance I hope.

I had a similar situation where I had already been diagnosed, had the biopsy etc and then an MRI scan and they told me it showed something on my other breast so I had to go back in for an ultrasound which showed there was nothing there. I would expect that is what they will do you with you, you’ll have an ultrasound to double check.

They told me MRI scans are very sensitive and show up things that aren’t there so please try not to worry xx
