Hi there, not sure if this is ok it doesn’t feel appropriate in many ways!! My wife is 77years and takes ibrance and letrozole to keep her breast cancer at bay. So far all good. Her hair is becoming noticeably thinner and it does get her down. Does anyone have any recommendations for good hair products that might help.
Thank you.
Hi Jim
I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this site. I'm sorry to hear that your wife had breast cancer but glad to hear that she is coping with her treatments. While I don't have any recommendations for you I noticed that you haven't had answers yet so I thought I'd reply to you to move you to the top of the discussion. Hopefully someone will be along shortly with some advice for you.
Best wishes

Where I used to live there was an upmarket hairdresser who a couple of people in your wife’s position swore by. The cut and the products seemed important. If you have a local online group you could ask they might come up with somewhere near you. Even the breast support nurse might advise.
My hair was amazingly thick post chemotherapy, I think because it all grew in at the same time. It’s now a lot thinner than it was before I started all this cancer treatment. I take letrozole and abemaciclib, so that’s what’s doing it. At present i manage by having fairly short layers, which provide a thicker look.
