I had a breast lump removed in March, I have recently noticed that every now and then the wound scabs over as if it’s been weeping. It’s not sore, red or swollen and it doesn’t bother me but I just wondered if this is normal or should I get it checked out ?

  • I had my surgery in march, and a re-excision in early may. Ive never had such a situation.  Just the initial scabbing over after the surgery but no weeping.  Probably best to get it  checked out. Hope all is well.  Maybe you just dont heal quickly. Are you diabetic at all? x

  • I don’t notice any weeping just every now and then I can feel a small scab, it doesn’t hurt or itch and it doesn’t look infected as it’s not hot, red or swollen. I’m not diabetic, but like you said maybe it’s just slow to heal. I’m seeing my GP next week for something else so I’ll mention it to him
