Hi. I have a mammogram and mri scan booked tomorrow, I am so scared, worried they’ll find something especially as I’m still undergoing radiotherapy.
Just wondered how a mammogram is undertaken on my no breast side?

Hello, they will do the mammogram on the side with the breast only. Take care and hope you get a great report.

They just do a mammogram on the healthy side.
Make sure you book in with the nurse and they will check over the mastectomy site. They didn’t do that when I had a mammogram - it was just a ‘routine’ mammogram.
I went back and saw the head nurse and she checked it over by feeling etc
