Hair thinning

I'm the same  - my hair has always shed a bit when washing/brushing-but worse since starting Letrazole.  I'm now using a milder  version of my usual shampoo (l'oreal professional salon one that I've used for years) but not really making any difference. 

So I would also appreciate any tips

Watermans hair growth and repair shampoo and conditioner. Silk pillow case (Amazon have reasonably cheap ones) . Wide tooth comb. Try to only wash your hair once a week. Scalp massage.

I do comb it gently just once in the morning and after that I just run my fingers through it.

Today I have bought a scalp massager (just £1.40) so will give that a go most evenings.

I did have a silk pillowcase when I had chemo but may have to reinvest. 

A friend has mentioned Biotin supplements.

I will look into the shampoo you suggest.Thank you.

Biotin supplements only help if you have a deficiency.  Also biotin can mess up certain lab work.

I watch Dr Dray on YouTube and she educated me on biotin.  She has some excellent videos on hair loss and her sensible skin care is wonderful too.  I am always learning new things from her.  

I was just reading about Biotin on Holland and Barratt.

It's difficult when the thinning is due to taking a drug, I am thinking of trying the Watermans products for 6 months, at lease then I can review for others.

1. I agree.  It is tricky to find resolution as the aromatase inhibitors can cause women to develop androgenetic alopecia.  

Viviscal tablets were recommended to me by a dermatologist. After a 3 month course you can cut down to 3 times a week. Also the purple oxy biotin shampoo / conditioner (I think that’s the name - they are in purple bottles) or cornwall seaweed bath co products.

I have suffered with hair loss and these are what I have found best.
