Hi all. I was diagnosed with Grade 2 bc in June after a biopsy and put on Letrozole. My next appointment is 1st September and I’m wondering what will happen then. i have been told I will have a lumpectomy and radiation therapy. I feel like I’m in limbo waiting for things to get moving
Hi Dippy
I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum. I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. You will be taken through what the operation is going to entail. As well as the lump in your breast they will take some nodes from under your arm for testing to make sure that the cancer hasn't spread. Just be aware that things might change after the they test your lymph nodes. You may find that you need chemo as well as radiotherapy. While I won't say chemo is easy it is doable. Once things start to happen they happen fairly quickly, the waiting for things to happen is the worst part of the cancer journey.
Wishing you the best of luck with your appointment and operation.
Best wishes
