Hi, I'm one of the champions here in this group and I just thought that you might consider giving the lovely team at Macmillan a call (on 0800 808 0000) to chat this through as I am sure they'd be able to talk about the pros and cons with you, best wishes
Hi. I thought an expander implant was a temporary implant so always had to be replaced? Is that not the case?
Hi
I currently have an expander implant.
My breast consultant gave me the choice to either have it replaced with a silicone implant or to keep it and just have the port removed .
I find my expander hard and uncomfortable, so I will be changing mine for a silicone implant.
I have spoken to other ladies who have already done this and they all say, a silicone implant feels more natural and us more comfortable.
Hope this helps x
