Low Haemoglobin

Hi, 

My HB dropped to 80 during my chemotherapy treatment so I had to have a blood transfusion. 

I did ask about taking iron supplements but my oncologist and Nurses said not to do as it could interfere with any true blood results.

I changed my diet and added in more iron rich foods. It didn't help to be honest as the chemo was the reason it was low but it made me feel better as I felt like I was doing my bit.

My hb has now come up and feel.good now chemo has finsihed.

I had an iron infusion.  Much better than iron tablets. Less side effects. I continue to ensure that I have a varied diet as well.
