Hi. I have just finished high intensity radiotherapy. My breast is very red, sore and swollen. The upper arm on the affected breast side is very swollen this morning. I already had Lipodema (not lymphodema) in that arm. My lymph nodes were sampled but not removed. Is this common with radiotherapy and any suggestions over what would help?
Hi Cowsrus welcome to the forum. This may just be with the Radiotherapy and possibly will settle with time. However, that red swollen and sore breast needs looked at asap by the breast team or your own GP as it could be the start of a potential infection which happened for me after my Radiotherapy finished. It did settle but I needed Antobiotics so please get it checked out..Gail x
