Really keen to hear about people’s experiences with therapeutic mammoplasty and node biopsy. I am all set for surgery on both sides but pondering now much pain I might experience.
Hi Dadfodil6 , I had lumpectomy and SNB and then a second op - therapeutic mammoplasty. I had very little pain the first op - just paracetamol for the first couple of days. I have never had any issues with the nodes removal. I found the mammoplasty more challenging - a lot of tissue was moved around for mine - but I also hadn’t expected to have any pain as the first op had been so easy to manage. I was still up and about straight away but stayed on meds for a week or two. having said that, we are all different and that’s just my experience. good luck with the op x
