Hi I'm new to the group, I had breast cancer surgery in July last year and due to hematomas and not healing I had to have a clean out procedure in November.
So I was started on tamoxifen which at first I thought was fine but recently iv been having problems with it, my blood pressure was 194/97 so I have to take blood pressure tablets now also but I was getting alot of discharge and period like pains yet I haven't had a period since last April, so I spoke to the nurse who suggested I come off the tablets for 3 weeks to have a break and see if my symptoms got better.
Iv felt totally fine and back to normal but I need to try them again (taking on a am has I was taking them pm) it's just been over a week and my blood pressure is on the rise again and this time have a very dry mouth aswell as the discharge starting 
, I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems with tamoxifen
Hi there, and welcome to the forum, I am one of the champions in this group and I'm glad you found us. Sorry to hear you've been having problems on tamoxifen, though good that the you're talking to your nurse about it. Some people do report that they have different reactions to the different brands, as whilst the active ingredients of the medication are all the same, the “fillers” that are used to create the actual tablet can be different. Maybe it's worth asking about this. Best wishes
