I’d just like to hear from anyone who has been receiving this.

Because my tumour was over 20mm (it was 29mm) I was offered this alongside the chemo. At time lymph nodes were showing as clear. After weighing up the pros and cons (basically everything this could do to you and what extra problems could occur even in later life) I have initially said no & just carried on with chemo.

I’d like to hear from anyone who has already been through this and if it has caused you more problems.

I’d also like to hear from those that are currently having it and what your experience has been like.

Thank you

  • Hi I have been having this alongside my chemo for past five months. Going fine then had serious reaction called DRESS syndrome, spent four weeks in hospital. Can’t have it anymore now because of it and going for surgery now but have to be weaned off the steroids as on such a high dose and can’t have surgery on steroids.

im suffering badly with neuropathy and mobility bad but started physio so hoping improves.

i know this is just my experience tho and doesn’t mean everyone will get this. My cancer spread to nodes but with what Iv had with the chemo and immuno iv had complete response so fingers crossed its ok me stopping now.

i wish you the best of luck deciding what to do, i know how scary it is hopefully you have a fantastic team behind you.
    take care

  • Sorry to hear how you was affected. This is exactly the kind of thing that has put me off having it. Hope things are improving for you and are able to have your op very soon.

    stay strong
